Director, The Healthy Holiday Company, 2004 to present

Appointed as a Director in 2004.  Responsible for strategy, marketing and business development.  The company currently owns and operates 3 consumer brands – in:spa retreats for luxury detox holidays; fitscape for premium fitness holidays; and destination yoga for inspiring yoga holidays.

Marketing Consultancy, Tongabezi Lodge, 2005 to present

The Consultancy has been assisting this luxury lodge on the banks of the Zambezi with all aspects of its European sales and marketing, most particularly regarding its online presentation and by introducing the Lodge to appropriate agencies.

Marketing Consultancy, Jim Lawrence Home Furnishings, 2008 to present

The Consultancy is responsible for all aspects of this leading home furnishings company’s marketing and PR.

Management Consultancy, Joshi Clinic, 2009 – 2010 (6 months)

The Consultancy was hired to overhaul the financial reporting systems, branding, marketing and online sales for a successful Harley Street practice. Project completed in 6 months.

Strategic Advisor, Chelsea FC, 2007 – 2009 (18 months)

Concentrating on Chelsea’s non-football assets, the Consultancy provided strategic advice to the Board regarding leveraging their brand and database, and redeveloping sections of their stadium grounds to generate enhanced and new revenue streams including bars, restaurants and a health club and spa.

Strategic Advisor, Core Club New York, 2007 (9 months)

The Consultancy provided strategic and practical advice to New York’s exclusive new business and dining club (East 55th Street) on how to create novel events and entertainment, to develop the membership mix, and to expand the membership base beyond the USA.

Non-Executive Director, Harbour Club Milano, 1996 – 2009 (13 years)

Part of the due diligence team that acquired the existing entity in Milan in 1996.  After acquisition, Simon Pardoe was retained by the Board to advise on all facets of membership, branding, PR and marketing.  Now recognised as Italy’s finest family orientated multi-sports club. Business successfully sold in Dec 09.

Management Consultancy, Loch Lomond Golf Club, 2004 – 2007 (3 years)

Developed new markets for membership (India, Thailand, Europe, USA), forged relationships with key private and corporate clients, improved internal operations and communications, and significantly increased sales.

Management Consultancy, Cannons Group plc, 1998 – 2004 (6 years)

Reporting directly to the CEO,  Simon Pardoe was retained for 5 particular roles: (i) strategic development of the company’s online presence, (ii) to advise on membership structures / member acquisition opportunities, (iii) building customer loyalty and strengthening customer retention across the group’s 150,000 members, (iv) identifying opportunities to enhance yields, (v) to assist in identifying and researching new acquisition opportunities, and then redeveloping, rebranding and driving new business.

Management Consultancy, Aspria Spa & Sports, 1998 – 2002 (4 years)

The Consultancy was part of the core team that developed the business plan, created the brand and raised finance of €100m to build a collection of luxury spa and sports clubs in Germany and Belgium.  The Consultancy’s broad remit involved researching sites, helping achieve planning / building permits, assisting in design and content of each facility, hiring senior management, and budgeting and co-ordinating all sales and marketing activities to drive membership sales.

Management Consultancy, Middle East Development Corp, 1996 – 1998 (2 years)

The Consultancy was hired to assist in the development of a large scale multi-sport / country club facility in Jordan.  The team provided project development, design, business systems, and marketing advice to what eventually became Dunes Club Amman.

Marketing Director, Harbour Club London, 1992 – 1998 (6 years)

Simon Pardoe joined the Harbour Club team as Sales & Marketing Director 12 months prior to club opening and was responsible for achieving £10m in membership joining fees within 18 months of opening, with one third of these sales being achieved prior to opening.  Responsible for researching, planning, budgeting, designing and implementing all facets of the internal and external sales and marketing campaign.

This is still regarded as London’s most successful club launch.  Harbour Club was acquired by Cannons Group for £30m in 1998.
